WORMS AND DEWORMING

Gastrointestinal parasites are common in puppies.They are easy to treat if caught promptly.Left untreated,they can cause serious harm.We worm every two weeks from birth,we use two different wormers, pyrantel at two weeks of age then we switch to panacur. Adult dogs also need to be wormed on a regular bases.

Another commomn parasite is heartworm.The heartworm gains entry through the bite of an infected mosquito. Heartworms can be lifethreatening if left untreated.
